DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jul 07 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Halal Food Authority (HFA) seized and destroyed 1,400 litres of chemically adulterated milk during a major enforcement operation.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of KPHFA Assistant Director Dr. Wasif Khan.
During the inspection, officials used a modern Mobile Food Testing Laboratory along with a UVAS testing kit to examine the milk. Laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of harmful chemicals, rendering the milk unsafe for human consumption.
The entire quantity of contaminated milk was destroyed on the spot to prevent it from reaching consumers.
The Halal Food Authority reiterated its commitment to ensuring the availability of safe and quality food, adding that strict legal action is being taken against those involved in food adulteration.
