Govt accelerating public welfare, rural development through major infrastructure projects: Rana Sanaullah

FAISALABAD, Jul 05 (APP):Adviser to Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan on Sunday said that the government was rapidly implementing its agenda of public welfare, rural development and provision of essential civic amenities and in this connection, large-scale projects in gas supply, road infrastructure, healthcare and other sectors were being launched to bridge development gap between urban and rural areas.
He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Sui gas supply and rehabilitation and reconstruction of 29.5-kilometer road at Chak No.77-JB Mullanpur.
He said that the government regarded fulfillment of its commitments to the people as its foremost responsibility and it was determined to provide rural communities with the same basic facilities available in urban centers.
He said that the government would ensure provision of natural gas to all villages in the area under a phased manner so that rural households could benefit from modern civic facilities and enjoy an improved standard of living.
Highlighting the significance of road project, he said that nearly 30 kilometers road was being reconstructed, which would directly benefit thousands of residents of 12 villages.
The quality road infrastructure would not only facilitate transportation but also ensure timely movement of agricultural produce, promote local trade and stimulate economic activity, he added.
He said that responsibility of serving the people remained unchanged irrespective of electoral outcomes. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had always believed in politics of public service and it would continue implementing development projects with the same commitment, he added.
He announced that a Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital would also be established in the area to improve access to quality healthcare for local residents.
Paying tribute to the party leadership, Rana Sanaullah said that PML-N Supremo Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had consistently made national development, economic stability and public welfare the central focus of their policies.
Referring to Pakistan’s international standing, he said that the country was today recognized globally as a dignified nuclear power which had enhanced its prestige and influence in the international community.
Commenting on regional and global affairs, he said that recent international developments reflected the complexities of global politics and reaffirmed Pakistan’s strategic importance.
He lauded the armed forces and said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir they had demonstrated exceptional professionalism in defending the country’s interests, which is a unique development that had earned national pride and international recognition.
He further said that while Pakistan had long been associated internationally with terrorism, it was now increasingly being recognized for its constructive role in promoting regional peace.
He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had played an important role for facilitating a ceasefire between Iran and the United States. He also appreciated the positive role played by the Iranian leadership and constructive American stakeholders.
Discussing the political situation, Rana Sanaullah criticized the politics of hatred, abuse and political victimization pursued by some elements in the past and said that false narcotics charges had been fabricated against him despite his consistent adherence to the rule of law and responsible political conduct.
He said that the government was pursuing serious measures to strengthen national economy. Easing of sanctions on Iran and restoration of oil supplies would help reduce inflationary pressures, lower fuel costs and ultimately provide relief to the public through a decline in the prices of essential commodities, he opined hope.
Emphasizing quality in public development works, Rana Sanaullah said that no compromise would be made on construction standards. Any contractor failing to maintain the prescribed quality in road project would be barred from participating in future government projects, he added.
He urged the people to support sincere and committed leadership for continuous development, stability and prosperity of the country.
He expressed confidence that collective efforts would further accelerate Pakistan’s journey towards sustainable progress.
Local political and social leaders, elected representatives, government officials and a large number of residents were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
