One person was killed and another injured in a firing incident here in the area of Begum Kot, Lahore on Friday.

LAHORE, Jul 03 (APP): One person was killed and another injured in a firing incident here in the area of Begum Kot, Lahore on Friday.

A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said the emergency service received a report of a firing incident in Miraj Park, Begum Kot. According to the caller, an unidentified assailant opened fire on two individuals.

As a result, Liaqat, 40, died on the spot, while Zawar Hussain, 45, sustained injuries. Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured man at the scene.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the police for legal formalities, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
