KARACHI, Jul 03 (APP): Five ships, Zhong Gu Ri Zhou, GSL Melina, Oceana Sky, Saehan Jasper and Star Bright Carrying Container, Steel Product, Palm oil and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile three more ships, Stainless Lady, Dubai Sky and YC Daisy carrying Palm oil, Chick Peas and Chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
Eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a grain cargo carrier ‘Pantazis-L’ left the port & four more ships, Zhong Gu Ri Zhao, GSL Melina, Trimmu-3 and PGC Yiannis are expected to sail on Friday.
Cargo volume of 158,592 tones comprising 88,006 tones imports cargo and 70,586 export cargo carried in 6,320 Containers (2,267 TEUs Imports & 4,053 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Fifteen ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, HT Unite, Globe Danae, Athenian Star, YC Daisy and Libro carrying Palm Kernel, Soya Bean Seed, H.S.F.O, Chemicals and Coal are expected to take berths FAP, FOTCO, EVTL and PIBT respectively on Friday.
