ISLAMABAD, Jul 2 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss the regional situation, with particular focus on the recent round of mediation efforts in Doha.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive progress achieved during the latest negotiations and voiced hope that the dialogue process would continue in the near future, a DPM’s Office news release said.
During the conversation, Prince Faisal bin Farhan appreciated Pakistan’s efforts and its steadfast commitment to the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). He also acknowledged Pakistan’s continued role in advancing dialogue and promoting lasting peace in the region.
The discussion underscored the close coordination between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on regional developments and their shared support for diplomatic engagement aimed at achieving sustainable peace.
