LAHORE, Jul 02 (APP): The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) continues its city-wide zero-waste operation to maintain the city’s beauty.
According to SPAL source here on Thursday as part of the phased cleanliness drive, cleaning operational teams were working diligently across all 9 towns to ensure comprehensive cleanliness measures are being implemented.
In Aziz Bhatti Town, over 800 workers and more than 87 operational vehicles were actively engaged in the special cleaning operation, with 172 loader rickshaws assigned to collect waste door-to-door.
Suthra Punjab Authority DG Babar Sahib Din, stated that 14 hotspot areas in Aziz Bhatti Town have been cleared, and all temporary collection points were being maintained with zero waste on a daily basis.
Special cleaning operations have also been successfully completed around Butt Chowk, Tajpura Road, Ahmad Hassan Road, and Main Zarar Shaheed Road.
Dedicated cleaning teams have been deployed around Bahadur Shah Road, Soling Road, 60-Feet Road, and Main Business Pura Road.
Moreover, cleanliness efforts continue at key locations such as Harbanspura Chowk, Lalpul Canal Road, Mughalpura, Dharampura Chowk, Allama Iqbal Road, and Inventory Road.
These initiatives were part of the ongoing special cleanliness activities in Lahore under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for a Suthra Punjab.
Suthra Punjab Authority DG had urged citizens to support these efforts by maintaining cleanliness around their surroundings.
