LAHORE, Jul 02 (APP): The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab has facilitated the payment of more than Rs88 million in long-pending dues to 135 citizens across the province following its intervention in complaints against various government departments.
According to an official spokesperson, the complainants had approached the Ombudsman after the relevant departments failed to release their outstanding payments despite the passage of considerable time.
Upon receiving the complaints, the Ombudsman Punjab took immediate notice of the matter and directed the departments concerned to resolve the cases without delay.
As a result, outstanding payments exceeding Rs88 million were released to 135 complainants, providing them with long-awaited financial relief.
The spokesperson said the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab remained committed to protecting the rights of citizens and ensuring the prompt resolution of public grievances. The institution would continue to take effective measures to provide people with swift, inexpensive and hassle-free administrative justice.
The beneficiaries thanked the Ombudsman Punjab for the timely intervention and effective redress of their complaints, saying the institution’s efforts had enabled them to recover their long-pending dues.
