Power-Load-shedding KP Special Assistant seeks end to unannounced power outages in Budhabaer

PESHAWAR, Jul 02 (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Transport and Mass Transit, Samiullah Khan on Thursday met with Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Chief Engineer, Akhtar Hameed Khan to discuss prolonged and unannounced electricity outages and other power-related issues in PK-76 Budhabaer and adjoining areas.
According to an official handout, Samiullah Khan highlighted the hardships faced by residents due to extended power outages, particularly during the ongoing hot weather, and stressed that uninterrupted electricity supply was an essential public service.
He urged the PESCO to immediately end unannounced load-shedding and ensure power was supplied according to the approved schedule.
The Special Assistant also said he would encourage residents of his constituency to pay their electricity bills on time so that they could contribute to improved public services and national development.
Chief Engineer PESCO, Akhtar Hameed Khan, assured the Special Assistant that unannounced load-shedding in Budhabaer and surrounding areas would be discontinued.
He said steps would also be taken on an emergency basis to resolve technical issues and ensure electricity supply in accordance with the prescribed schedule.
Samiullah Khan expressed hope that the PESCO administration would promptly implement its commitments to provide relief to the residents of Budhabaer and address their long-standing electricity-related concerns.
