Police rescue abducted girl, arrest accused in operation

The police rescued a 16-year-old girl allegedly abducted by her maternal uncle and arrested the suspect during an operation in Karachi, the official sources said on Thursday.

MUZAFFARGARH, Jul 2 (APP): The police rescued a 16-year-old girl allegedly abducted by her maternal uncle and arrested the suspect during an operation in Karachi, the official sources said on Thursday.
According to a police report, the victim’s father, Muhammad Sajjad, a resident of Baloch Nagar area filed a complaint with City Police Station alleging that his brother-in-law had abducted his unmarried daughter, Tayyaba, from their home while he was away at work.
The police registered a case immediately and launched a search operation. They said the suspect initially took the girl to his residence in Alipur before fleeing to Karachi.
District Police Officer Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah commended the police team for the successful operation.
