Two brothers killed, three children injured in wall collapse during heavy rain in Attock

Two brothers were killed and three other children injured after a wall collapsed during heavy rainfall in Dhoke Balam, near Bota village in Attock, rescue officials said on Wednesday.

ATTOCK, Jul 1 (APP): Two brothers were killed and three other children injured after a wall collapsed during heavy rainfall in Dhoke Balam, near Bota village in Attock, rescue officials said on Wednesday.
According to reports, the wall gave way amid intense rain, trapping five children under the debris. Two brothers died at the scene, while the three injured children were pulled from the rubble with injuries of varying severity.
Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the site immediately after receiving the emergency call and launched a rescue operation. Rescuers retrieved the victims from the debris, administered first aid to the injured and shifted both the deceased and the injured children to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Attock.
Following the incident, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) advised the public to avoid staying near weak or damaged walls and buildings during heavy rainfall and urged citizens to call the emergency helpline 1122 immediately in the event of an emergency.
