SACM visits Sargodha to meet bereaved families, promises swift justice

SARGODHA, Jul 01 (APP): Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Public Prosecution Rana Bilal Ahmed on Wednesday visited Sargodha on the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif to meet the bereaved families of Muntaha Zahra and Muhammad Danish, assuring them of swift justice and transparent investigation.
Accompanied by Prosecutor General Punjab Faryad Ali Shah and Secretary Prosecution Salman Ghani, the Special Assistant expressed deep condolences to the families and prayed for the departed souls, emphasizing that the Punjab government would not leave them alone in their pursuit of justice.
Rana Bilal Ahmed stated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was personally monitoring the progress of both cases moment by moment, with clear instructions that no delay or negligence would be tolerated in the provision of justice.
He further maintained that the investigation was proceeding based on merit and impartiality, ensuring that no innocent individual would be wronged while ensuring that every criminal involved in the tragic incidents faced legal consequences.
During the visit, the victims’ families expressed their trust in the ongoing investigation led by District Police Officer (DPO) Sohaib Ashraf and the dedicated efforts of the police teams. Earlier, the Special Assistant presided over a high-level meeting involving the DPO, District Public Prosecutor, and forensic experts to review forensic reports and evidence, where he directed the timely completion of all legal requirements.
The delegation also visited the District Public Prosecution Office to review regional performance and stressed the importance of professional integrity in delivering quality justice to the residents of Sargodha Division, District Prosecutor Malik Amir Shahzad briefed them about the Prosecution department performance.
