HEC places JAR in ‘Y’ category, boosting Pakistan’s agricultural research profile

FAISALABAD, Jul 01 (APP): The Journal of Agricultural Research (JAR) has achieved a significant milestone after the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan officially placed it in the prestigious ‘Y’ category in the fields of Agriculture, Biological and Veterinary Sciences until December 31, 2027, marking a major recognition of the journal’s academic excellence and its contribution to agricultural research in Pakistan.
Director Agricultural Information Faisalabad and Editor of the Journal of Agricultural Research, Dr. Asif Ali, announced the achievement on Wednesday, describing the HEC recognition as a reflection of the journal’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards, transparency in publication and promoting quality research in agricultural sciences.
Expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah, Dr. Asif Ali congratulated the entire JAR community on the accomplishment and paid tribute to the editorial board members, reviewers, agricultural scientists and researchers whose dedication, professionalism and teamwork made the achievement possible.
He said that the recognition was a source of encouragement for all those associated with the journal, adding that perseverance, positive thinking and sincere commitment had enabled the publication to overcome challenges and continue its journey towards academic excellence.
He reaffirmed the editorial team’s resolve to further improve the journal and elevate its standards in line with international scholarly practices.
