82 mobile-phones returned to owners

The district police Gujrat recovered 82 lost and stolen mobile-phones during June 2026 through the E-Gadget tracking software and returned those to their rightful owners.

GUJRAT, Jul 01 (APP): The district police Gujrat recovered 82 lost and stolen mobile-phones during June 2026 through the E-Gadget tracking software and returned those to their rightful owners.
According to a police spokesperson, the recovery operation was carried out by the district police IT branch under the supervision of IT In-charge Sub-Inspector Syed Nadeem Iqbal and his team. Following the completion of the required verification process, the recovered mobile phones were handed over to their original owners.
He said the police were adopting advanced technological solutions alongside conventional policing methods to enhance public safety and improve service delivery, adding that protecting the lives and property of citizens remained the department’s foremost priority.
