AIOU starts admissions with new FSc programs

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially launched admissions for the Autumn 2026 semester offering academic programs from Matric to PhD across a wide range of disciplines.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 01 (APP):Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially launched admissions for the Autumn 2026 semester offering academic programs from Matric to PhD across a wide range of disciplines.

Prospective students can submit their applications online through the University’s website where the prospectus and admission forms are also available.

A major highlight of this admission cycle is the introduction of FSc Pre-Medical and FSc Pre-Engineering programs for the first time in the University’s history. The new programs aim to provide science students with access to quality intermediate education through AIOU’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system, expanding educational opportunities for learners across Pakistan.

Admissions are open for Matric General, Matric Dars-e-Nizami, Matric Science, FA, I.Com, Associate Degree programs (BA, B.Com and BBA), Associate Degree (ODL) programs in 18 disciplines, Associate Degree (Face-to-Face) programs in seven disciplines, BS programs in both ODL and Face-to-Face modes, 1.5-year, 2.5-year and 4-year B.Ed. programs, Postgraduate Diploma programs, MS, MPhil, PhD programs and a variety of certificate courses.

The University has also facilitated overseas Pakistanis and students living in remote areas by enabling them to complete the entire admission process online.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Nasir Mahmood said the University remains committed to expanding access to quality education and introducing academic programs that meet the evolving educational and professional needs of society.

He urged prospective students to apply well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.

According to the University administration, detailed admission information, the prospectus and online application forms are available on the official AIOU website. Guidance and support are also being provided through facilitation centres established at the University’s regional campuses across the country.
