ICT Police bust six-member gang behind robberies, shop heists, motorcycle thefts

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested six members of an organized gang allegedly involved in armed robberies, shop robberies and motorcycle thefts, recovering 10 stolen motorcycles, mobile phones and cash worth millions of rupees during a major operation by Shahzad Town Police.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 01 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested six members of an organized gang allegedly involved in armed robberies, shop robberies and motorcycle thefts, recovering 10 stolen motorcycles, mobile phones and cash worth millions of rupees during a major operation by Shahzad Town Police.
An official told APP on Wednesday that Shahzad Town Police conducted a successful operation and apprehended six suspects allegedly involved in a series of robbery, shop robbery and motorcycle theft cases in different parts of the federal capital.
The official said the arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Rehan, Allah Ditta, Hasnain Ali, Akbar Ali, Ali Akbar and Adil.
According to the official, police recovered 10 stolen motorcycles, valuable mobile phones and cash worth millions of rupees, besides stolen property linked to multiple criminal cases.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq said police also recovered the motorcycle used in the commission of the crimes along with weapons and ammunition from the possession of the suspects.
He said Islamabad Police was carrying out large-scale operations against organized and active criminal gangs to eliminate street crime from the federal capital.
The DIG Tariq directed police teams to continue intelligence-based operations and ensure that all those involved in robbery, shop robbery and motorcycle theft were brought to justice.
