Commissioner reviews plan to lease 53 government properties through public auction

SARGODHA, Jul 01 (APP): Commissioner Sargodha Division, Hafiz Shaukat Ali chaired a meeting of the Retention Committee on Wednesday to review arrangements for leasing 53 government shops and other public properties in Shahpur tehsil through open auction under the Board of Revenue (BOR) policy.
According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner’s office here, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Director Local Government, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), and Assistant Commissioner Shahpur were present.
The committee reviewed the identification of the properties, the proposed auction procedure, lease conditions, commercial value, current status of the properties, and expected revenue.
Addressing the meeting, the commissioner said the effective, transparent, and lawful utilization of government assets was among the Punjab government’s top priorities.
He directed officials to ensure that the auction process was conducted strictly in accordance with the BOR policy and all legal requirements to maximize government revenue.
The participants agreed that the auction of all identified properties would be carried out in a fair, open, and transparent manner to safeguard public interests and ensure the optimal use of state resources.
The commissioner also instructed the relevant departments to complete all administrative and legal formalities without delay and ensure complete transparency throughout the auction process to strengthen public confidence and enhance government revenue.
