President Zardari felicitates Canadian leadership on National Day
ISLAMABAD, Jul 1 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday extended felicitations to the Governor General of Canada Louise Arbour, and the people of the country on their National Day, celebrated annually on July 1.
The president, in a statement, said that Pakistan highly valued its long-standing and friendly relations with Canada which were founded on mutual respect, shared interests and strong people-to-people ties.
He expressed his confidence that bilateral cooperation between the two countries would continue to expand across areas of mutual interest including trade, investment, higher education and close collaboration in international forums.
