Revenue digitisation providing major relief to citizens: Commissioner

LAHORE, Jun 30 (APP): Divisional Commissioner Marryam Khan on Tuesday constituted a committee comprising additional commissioners of Lahore Division and assistant commissioners (Revenue) of all four districts to expedite the disposal of Khewat partition cases and strengthen revenue administration across the division.
Chairing a meeting on Khewat partition and revenue affairs, the commissioner assigned district-wise targets for the disposal of pending Khewat partition cases and directed all assistant commissioners (Revenue) to obtain daily performance reports from revenue
officers. She said the progress of all districts would be reviewed at the divisional level every two days to ensure the timely achievement of assigned targets.
Commissioner Marryam Khan said there would be zero tolerance for negligence or delays in implementing the directions of the Punjab government and the Board of Revenue Punjab regarding the resolution of revenue-related issues. She said the provincial government was introducing modern facilities to improve public access to revenue services, adding that the revenue digitisation programme was a revolutionary initiative that was providing substantial relief to citizens.
During the meeting, PLRA DG Ikram-ul-Haq briefed participants on the progress of revenue data digitisation and other ongoing reforms.
The meeting was attended by DC Lahore Ali Ijaz, DCs of Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Kasur, along with additional commissioners and assistant commissioners (Revenue) from all four districts of Lahore Division.
