MULTAN, Jun 30 (APP):An anti-corruption awareness workshop for women government officers was jointly organized
by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Commissioner Office Multan here on
Tuesday to promote transparency, ethical governance and institutional accountability.
Addressing the participants, Commissioner Multan Division Amir Karim Khan said the initiative
was in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to enhance the
professional capacity and leadership skills of women officers in the public sector.
He emphasized that corruption was not limited to financial misconduct, but also included
negligence in performing official duties, misuse of authority and failure to fulfill responsibilities.
The commissioner said integrity, transparency and accountability were the cornerstones
of a corruption-free society, urging public officers to step out of their comfort zones and
prioritize public service with dedication and commitment.
He stressed that every official decision should be based on law, merit and honesty, adding
that true nation-building was achieved not merely by observing office hours but by assuming
additional responsibilities in the larger public interest.
Prof Dr. Iram Batool Awan delivered a comprehensive lecture on ethical leadership, good
governance and anti-corruption practices, highlighting the importance of moral values in
public administration.
Officials of NAB Multan also conducted awareness sessions on anti-corruption laws,
institutional transparency and accountability mechanisms.
The event was jointly moderated by Deputy Director Information and PRO to Commissioner
Multan Iram Saleemi and Assistant Director NAB Anam Khan.
Senior women officers from various government departments attended the workshop and
appreciated the initiative aimed at strengthening ethical governance and professional
