PRCS holds risk awareness orientation for District stakeholders in DI Khan

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Dera Ismail Khan district, organized a district stakeholders’ orientation session under its Risk Awareness and Safe Behavior (RASB) programme in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), aiming to strengthen inter-agency coordination for community safety and disaster preparedness.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jun 30 (APP):The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Dera Ismail Khan district, organized a district stakeholders’ orientation session under its Risk Awareness and Safe Behavior (RASB) programme in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), aiming to strengthen inter-agency coordination for community safety and disaster preparedness.
The orientation was held here at the Jirga Hall of the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s Office, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Syed Muhammad Arsalan.
The representatives from the Social Welfare Department, Rescue 1122, Education Department, Health Department, Civil Defence, Zakat Department, Local Government, Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), RMDF, DFCA, BDU, and other government and non-government organizations attended the session.
The participants were briefed on the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the humanitarian mission of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, and its ongoing relief and community support initiatives in Dera Ismail Khan, particularly its response efforts during the current emergency situation.
The primary objective of the orientation was to familiarize district institutions with the RASB programme, encourage their active participation as key partners, and enhance coordination between the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and relevant stakeholders. The programme focuses on promoting risk awareness and safe behavior to help protect lives and improve community resilience.
At the conclusion of the session, the District Secretary of the PRCS, Dera Ismail Khan, thanked all participants for their engagement and expressed hope that continued collaboration among government departments and partner organizations would further strengthen the programme and contribute to building a safer, better-informed, and more responsible society.
