KARACHI, Jun 30 (APP): The Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on Tuesday said that a strong Parliament was the foundation of democracy, constitutional supremacy, and public trust.
In his message on the occasion of International Day of Parliament, he said that promotion of dialogue, consensus and effective legislation was essential to addressing national challenges.
Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that meaningful parliamentary representation of youth and women will further strengthen democracy.
The Governor of Sindh said that upholding the Constitution and strengthening democratic institutions were the guarantee of a bright and stable future of the country.
The International Day of Parliament provided an opportunity to renew our commitment to promoting democratic values while placing the national interest above all, he added.
