LODHRAN, Jun 29 (APP): Seven members of a family were hospitalized due to food poisoning in the Chitti masjid area, Mailsi road Kahroor Pacca on Monday.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the family ate left over food late at night. Shortly afterwards, they developed severe vomiting and fell ill.
Two Rescue 1122 ambulances were dispatched to the scene after an emergency call was received. Rescue teams rushed to the spot and provided first aid, and shifted all seven patients to THQ hospital Kahroor Pacca for further treatment.
The victims were identified as Allah Bakhsh, 45, Ansar Bibi, 42, Shahzad, 40, Mumtaz Mai, 40, Sughran Mai, 35, Akmal, 10, and Rubina Bibi, 15.
District Emergency officer Engineer Shabab Aslam advised the public to avoid consuming stale or improperly stored food to prevent incidents of food poisoning.
