SACM Sania inaugurates school for special children in Faisalabad

Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab for Special Education Sania Ashiq on Monday inaugurated the Maryam Nawaz School for Special Children, Centre of Excellence, in Faisalabad during a visit made on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

LAHORE, Jun 29 (APP): Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab for Special Education Sania Ashiq on Monday inaugurated the Maryam Nawaz School for Special Children, Centre of Excellence, in Faisalabad during a visit made on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Secretary Special Education and Director General Special Education accompanied the special assistant during the visit, said a handout issued here.
She toured various sections of the institution, interacted with the students and received a detailed briefing on the school’s educational, training and rehabilitation facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Sania Ashiq said the school had been established under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to provide quality education and modern facilities for children with special needs. She said the chief minister had ensured the provision of every possible resource for their welfare and development, adding that special children remained her foremost priority.
The special assistant said the Punjab government was committed to creating an inclusive environment where children with special needs could receive quality education, training and rehabilitation services. She added that the progress being witnessed in the special education sector reflected the chief minister’s personal commitment and close supervision.
The children thanked Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for establishing the institution, while parents and staff members requested the special assistant to convey their appreciation to the chief minister for prioritising the welfare of children with special needs.
