Balochistan Population Welfare department forms anti-harassment committee

QUETTA, Jun 29 (APP): In line with the directives of Secretary Population Welfare Department Balochistan, Zafar Baloch, a new Anti-Harassment Committee has been constituted under the Balochistan Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2016.
The committee aims to ensure effective implementation of laws protecting women from harassment, promote a safe and dignified office environment free from intimidation, and address complaints in accordance with prescribed legal procedures.
Under the Act, all government, semi-government, autonomous, and private institutions are legally bound to establish a five-member anti-harassment committee, including at least two female members from within the organization. The formation of such committees is a statutory responsibility to guarantee a secure and respectful workplace for employees.
Officials and staff have been urged to fully comply with the law and play their role in fostering a safe, dignified, and harassment-free office environment.
