FIA offloads Umrah passenger over fake Spanish immigration stamp

ISLAMABAD, Jun 29 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration, Islamabad International Airport, on Monday offloaded a passenger bound for Umrah after detecting a fake Spanish immigration stamp on his passport during routine immigration clearance.
An official told APP on Monday that the passenger was referred for secondary profiling after immigration officials noticed suspicious travel documents during the clearance process.
The official said a detailed examination of the passport revealed a forged Spanish immigration stamp.
According to the official, further verification of the immigration record confirmed that the passenger had no previous travel history to Europe, establishing that the immigration stamp was fake.
The official said the passenger was subsequently offloaded, taken into custody and handed over to the Anti Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), Islamabad, for further legal action and investigation.
