UVAS, Go Dairy sign MoU to promote advanced agricultural, animal husbandry technologies

LAHORE, Jun 29 (APP): University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and Go Dairy Private Limited (GDPL) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote advanced agricultural and animal husbandry technologies in Pakistan.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani and Go Dairy CEO Dur Muhammad Ayub signed the MoU at a ceremony in the university. Deans Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Prof Dr Saima and Prof Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub, senior faculty members and Go Dairy officials were also present.
Under the MoU, the two parties will collaborate on specific technology transfer and capacity-building projects. They will work on the transfer and establishment of sheep in-vitro fertilization (IVF) technology in Pakistan, cow-calf operations and dairy processing. They will jointly work on introducing high-yielding bovine into the Pakistan market for both milking and fattening purposes. The UVAS will also provide technical expertise and support to Go Dairy in defining and optimizing nutrition technology and feed formulations for layer farming operations in Pakistan. The Go Dairy will provide UVAS graduates the apprenticeship trainings.
