CHINIOT, Jun 29 (APP): A motorcyclist was killed while three other people sustained serious injuries after a motorcycle collided with a tractor-trolley on Lahore Road near Broken Stop on the outskirts of Chiniot on Monday, Rescue 1122 officials said.
Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the accident and launched prompt rescue operations. According to initial reports, the motorcycle crashed into the tractor-trolley, resulting in the death of the rider, Qari Muhammad Sharif, 42, son of Ahmed and a resident of Gujrat, who died on the spot.
The injured were identified as Samina Bibi, 36, wife of Muhammad Sharif; Muhammad Abdullah, 11, son of Muhammad Arif; and Muhammad Khushi, 55, son of Ahmed Ali. All the injured, who are residents of Gujrat, sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Rescue personnel shifted the deceased’s body and the injured to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Chiniot, where the injured are receiving medical treatment. Rescue 1122 said the relevant authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances and cause of the fatal accident.
