Federal Minister resolves years-old pathway dispute through Jirga in Siran Valley

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Monday said that Islam was a religion of peace, love, brotherhood and mutual tolerance, urging people to resolve disputes through reconciliation and dialogue. 

MANSEHRA, Jun 29 (APP): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Monday said that Islam was a religion of peace, love, brotherhood and mutual tolerance, urging people to resolve disputes through reconciliation and dialogue.
He said that bringing two conflicting parties together was not only a valuable social service but also an act that earns great reward from Almighty Allah.
He expressed these views while addressing a grand jirga of elders and local dignitaries from Achhriaan Tarkanal and Dharyal villages in Siran Valley at his residence.
The jirga was convened to settle a long-standing pathway dispute between two rival groups that had caused tension and unrest in the area for several years.
The federal minister emphasized that dialogue, patience and the traditional jirga system remained an effective tool for resolving conflicts and ensuring lasting peace in society. He stressed that collective welfare should take precedence over personal interests to build a peaceful and strong community.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf appreciated the efforts of both parties and the members of the jirga for reaching an peaceful settlement. He said the reconciliation had not only brought an end to a prolonged dispute but had also opened a new chapter of peace, brotherhood and unity in the area. He expressed hope that both sides would continue to maintain mutual respect, trust and harmony, ensuring that the agreement would last permanent.
