LAHORE, Jun 29 (APP):Punjab Home Department has extended the enforcement of Section 144 across the province by imposing a 30-day extension on the ban on outdoor drone flying in view of security concerns.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department, the provincial government has decided to continue the restriction on the use of drones in open areas to ensure public safety, maintain law and order as well as protect public and private property.
The spokesperson said the ban had been extended under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, by the Punjab Home Secretary.
However, the use of small drones would remain permitted inside halls and marquees during indoor events. Organisers of such events would be responsible for ensuring the safe and lawful use of drones within the premises.
