BAKUJun 28 (AZERTAC/APP):Azerbaijani judokas won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal on the opening day of the European Open in Prague, Czechia, helping the national team finish second in the overall standings among 38 participating countries.
Elshan Asadov claimed the gold medal in the men’s 66 kg category after winning all of his bouts. In the same weight class, Rashad Yelkiyev secured the silver medal, while Kamran Suleymanov took bronze in the men’s 73 kg division.
With one gold, one silver and one bronze medal, Azerbaijan ranked second in the team standings after the first day of competition.
