Blind murder solved within 24 hours, close relative arrested

Thikriwala police have solved a blind murder mystery of a seven-year-old boy within 24 hours and arrested his close relative.

FAISALABAD, Jun 27 (APP): Thikriwala police have solved a blind murder mystery of a seven-year-old boy within 24 hours and arrested his close relative.
A police spokesman said that seven-year-old Shakeel Ahmad went missing from Chak No. 71-JB Sarli and CPO Tanveer Hussain directed the police to launch an intensive investigation and constituted a special team under the supervision of SP Iqbal Division Saeed Ahmed to trace and arrest the unidentified killer.
Therefore, Thikriwala police initiated a comprehensive search operation for the missing child and a day later, the boy’s body was recovered from a nearby enclosed building.
The initial investigation established that the child had been subjected to violence before strangled to death with a clothesline rope.
The investigation team led by SP Saeed Ahmed and comprising SHO Thikriwala Ali Imran and other officers utilized modern technical resources and human intelligence to identify and trace the accused.
The police arrested a suspect Ali Raza, who was a close relative of the deceased child. During investigation, police learned that the suspect developed resentment after the boy allegedly used inappropriate remarks about his sister while they were playing.
Over this issue, the accused allegedly lured the child into a nearby house, took him to the bathroom and strangled him to death with a clothesline rope.
The accused also confessed to the murder during interrogation while further legal proceedings were underway to ensure his prosecution under the law, police spokesman said.
The victim’s family appreciated the prompt action taken by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz, CPO Tanveer Hussain, SP Iqbal Division Saeed Ahmed and the investigating team for arresting the accused within 24 hours and making fast progress in the case.
Meanwhile, CPO Tanveer Hussain commended SP Saeed Ahmed, SHO Ali Imran and other members of the investigation team for their professional performance and announced a cash reward of Rs100,000 along with commendation certificates in recognition of their efforts, the spokesman added.
