ATTOCK, Jun 26 (APP):Attock Police have finalized comprehensive security arrangements for the observance of the 10th of Muharram (Ashura), deploying more than 1,800 officers and personnel across the district to ensure the peaceful conduct of religious processions and gatherings.
According to the Attock Police spokesperson, the security plan has been implemented on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Sardar Morahan Khan. A total of 1,800-plus police personnel have been assigned to protect 49 Muharram processions and 70 religious gatherings (Majalis) scheduled across the district.
As part of the enhanced security measures, walk-through gates, metal detectors, and other modern screening equipment have been installed at procession routes and Majalis venues to ensure comprehensive security checks. Senior police officers are also present in the field to personally supervise and monitor the implementation of the security plan.
Attock Police said all personnel remain on high alert and are committed to maintaining law and order throughout the Ashura observances. The district police reaffirmed their resolve to ensure the safety of mourners and facilitate the peaceful observance of Muharram
