Rescue 1122 deploys over 600 rescuers for Ashura
MULTAN, Jun 26 (APP):Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 on Friday deployed more than 600 rescuers across the district under a comprehensive emergency cover plan for Youm-e-Ashura (10th Muharram) to ensure a swift response to any untoward incident during mourning processions and religious gatherings.
District Emergency Officer(DEO),Dr.Hussain Mian said Rescue 1122 had stationed 30 ambulances,93 motorbike ambulances,15 fire tenders and two special emergency vehicles at strategic locations to provide emergency cover.
He said mobile rescue posts had also been established along major procession routes and at key Imambargahs to ensure immediate medical assistance for mourners.
The Rescue 1122 Control Room will remain operational round the clock,while all rescue stations across the district have been placed on high alert.
Emergency vehicles and trained community volunteers will remain on standby throughout the day,he added.
Dr Mian said he was personally supervising the implementation of the emergency plan to ensure an effective response. He warned that any delay or negligence in emergency operations would not be tolerated, adding that Rescue 1122 was fully prepared to deal with any emergency during Youm-e-Ashura.
