RAWALPINDI, Jun 25 (APP):Citizens have appreciated special arrangements made by the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board for cleanliness, drainage and maintenance of procession routes on 9th Muharram.
Religious and social circles lauded the efforts of CEO Amir Rasheed, Assistant Commissioner Cantt Saad-ur-Rehman, Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal, Public Health Officer Khalilullah, area supervisors Najeeb Pirzada and Sajid Bhatti, along with sanitation staff, for ensuring effective arrangements.
They said the measures reflected administrative responsibility, professional competence and commitment to public service during the religious observance.
Custodian and sajjada nasheen of Sakhhi Shah Pyara Kazmi shrine, Syed Qasim Ali Shah Kazmi, and Syed Izhar Shah Naqviin a joint statement, termed the facilities provided before and during Muharram as commendable.
They said special attention to cleanliness, drainage and procession routes ensured a clean and peaceful environment for mourners.
