SARGODHA, Jun 25 (APP):Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab, Shoaib Mirza visited Bhalwal on Thursday to review arrangements for the 9th Muharram processions and assess security and administrative preparedness.
During the visit, he inspected the route of an A-category procession, reviewed security measures, medical camps, and sanitation arrangements put in place for mourners.
Officials briefed him on the steps being taken to ensure the peaceful and smooth conduct of Muharram observances.
Speaking on the occasion, Shoaib Mirza said that foolproof security and effective coordination among all departments were being ensured during Muharram-ul-Haram.
He emphasized that promoting unity, brotherhood, and religious harmony on the occasion of Ashura was a collective responsibility.
The Special Assistant also urged procession organizers to strictly observe the code of conduct and adhere to scheduled timings.
He appreciated the efforts of the police, district administration, and volunteers for their commitment to maintaining peace and facilitating mourners.
He stated that all relevant institutions were working as a unified team to ensure successful Muharram arrangements and expressed confidence that anti-social elements would be thwarted through collective vigilance and harmony.
During the briefing, the Deputy Commissioner provided a detailed overview of the arrangements for Shab-e-Ashur and Youm-e-Ashur, while the District Police Officer informed the delegation about the security plan, deployment of personnel, and other precautionary measures.
