ISLAMABAD, Jun 25 (APP):Vice President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP), Senator Sherry Rehman, paid tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Holy Ahl-e-Bait (RA), and their devoted companions on the occasion of Youm-e-Ashura.
She stated that Youm-e-Ashura reminded the Muslim Ummah of the great sacrifices made by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Holy Ahl-e-Bait (RA), and their loyal companions in the plains of Karbala.
Sherry Rehman said that this day symbolizes the eternal struggle between truth and falsehood, justice and oppression, and stood as a timeless example of steadfastness in upholding principles.
She noted that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Holy Ahl-e-Bait (RA), and their companions made unparalleled sacrifices in Karbala for the cause of truth, justice, righteousness, and the supremacy of Islam.
“The great sacrifice of the martyrs of Karbala and the Holy Ahl-e-Bait (RA) bears witness to the fact that tyranny and brutality can never prevail over truth and righteousness,” she said.
Sherry Rehman further remarked that the Karbala incident teached humanity to face hardships and trials with courage and dignity in the pursuit of truth, and never to surrender before falsehood and injustice.
She emphasized that every individual should follow the noble example of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Holy Ahl-e-Bait (RA), and all the martyrs of Karbala by upholding the values of truth, honesty, justice, and moral courage.
