BRA reviews industrial tax compliance, orders strict enforcement to boost revenue

QUETTA, Jun 24 (APP):The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) convened an important meeting under the chairmanship of its Chairman to review tax collection from private withholding agents and contractual executions.
The session was focused on revenue generation, tax compliance, and ongoing enforcement measures.
Officials discussed strategies to expand the tax net and enhance revenue collection. The meeting reviewed the registration, tax payments, and return filing status of companies operating in Hub Industrial Area, LIEDA, and other industrial zones. Concern was expressed over low or non-payment of taxes by certain companies, and officers were directed to scrutinize records, recover outstanding dues, and initiate legal action where necessary.
The Chairman instructed that a comprehensive survey of LIEDA and other industrial zones be completed, with detailed classification of active, newly established, and inactive industrial units. He further directed the preparation of a detailed list of revenues and recoveries, along with a robust enforcement plan against non-compliant entities.
It was noted that several companies in Marble City have already completed registration, while notices have been issued to ensure compliance with tax laws and recovery of dues.
