Shipping Activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI, Jun 24 (APP):Three ships, GSL Melina, Aprex and Sun Profit carrying Container, Palm oil and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Marginal Wharf Bulk Terminal-4 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile six more ships, GFS Jade, MSC Doulala-VII, Asian Phoenix, PGC Perklis, Avra and Jahan-1 scheduled to load/offload Container, Fuel oil, LPG and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
Eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, HTK Symphony and Prima Dharma left the port on today morning, while five more ships, Aisha Sarwar, Mraikh, GSL Melina, Aprex and Asphalt Express are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Cargo volume of 223,828 tones comprising 185,808 tones imports cargo and 38,020 export cargo carried in 3,987 Containers (2,290 TEUs Imports & 1,697 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Eighteen ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, MSC Doula-VII, GFS Jade, PGC Perklis and Astra-N carrying Container, LPG and Coal are expected to take berths QICT, SSGC and PIBT respectively on Wednesday.
