Shumaila Rana hails US-Iran dialogue, sees economic gains for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Jun 24 (APP):Pakistan Muslim League (N) central leader Shumaila Rana, on Wednesday emphasized that establishing peace and stability in the region will not only increase trade activities but also accelerate the pace of Pakistan’s economic development.
Talking to journalists at the Parliament House, she appreciated the government under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is continuously taking steps to improve the economy, promote investment and resolve public problems.
While talking on role of Pakistan mediating Iran and United States (US) peace talks, she said Pakistan has emerged with enhanced prestige on the global stage following the successful talks between the United States (US) and Iran, as the country has consistently played a constructive role in promoting peace, stability and diplomatic engagement in the region.
She underscored that the success of the talks between the US and Iran is not only welcome for regional peace but also new economic and trade opportunities could arise for Pakistan.
Shumaila Rana said that Pakistan has always been a supporter of the policy of peace, dialogue and mutual respect and its positive role at the global level will continue in the future.
Se expressed the hope that the fruits of the positive developments in the region will reach the people of the entire region, including Pakistan.
