The police arrested a man accused of abusing a widow after allegedly luring her into a relationship with a false promise of marriage, the police said on Wednesday.

ATTOCK, Jun 24 (APP):The police arrested a man accused of abusing a widow after allegedly luring her into a relationship with a false promise of marriage, the police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in Village, Hattar within the jurisdiction of Fateh Jang Police Station.

According to the police , the woman told that she was a widow and that the suspect, identified as Usama Mumtaz, a resident of the same area, developed a relationship with her while promising to marry her.

The police registered a case against the accused and subsequently arrested him.

Further investigation into the matter was underway, they added.
