Educated women key to Pakistan’s bright future, says Governor Kundi

PESHAWAR, Jun 23 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday said that educated women were the bright future of Pakistan, a valuable national asset and a guarantee of a strong and prosperous society.
Addressing the prize distribution ceremony of the annual “Sada-e-Aqeedat Muharram-ul-Haram Students’ Naat Competition 2026,” organized by Radio Tehzeeb at the Governor House, he said that education, training and character-building of the younger generation were essential for national development.
The Governor said that only enlightened and educated societies could achieve progress and prosperity, stressing the need to promote tolerance, harmony and brotherhood by rejecting hatred, prejudice and divisive attitudes.
The ceremony was attended by the management of Radio Tehzeeb CEO Saifullah Islam Afridi, students and other guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Kundi said that despite the emergence of modern communication technologies, radio had retained its significance and remained an effective medium for disseminating information, education and public awareness.
He said that Muharram-ul-Haram taught the values of patience, sacrifice, tolerance and steadfastness in upholding truth, adding that remaining committed to principles and values in difficult circumstances was the true measure of success.
The Governor announced that a conference on the promotion and future of radio would be organized at the Governor House after Muharram-ul-Haram.
Referring to regional developments, Kundi said Pakistan had played an important role in facilitating understanding between the United States and Iran, and appreciated the efforts of the prime minister and field marshal in that regard.
He expressed hope that improved regional relations would create better opportunities for investment in Pakistan.
The Governor urged all political forces to work together for securing the province’s rights from the federation, saying unity had previously helped achieve positive outcomes on issues such as wheat and CNG.
Later, he distributed awards and certificates among students for their outstanding performance in the competition.
