DDC supervision for all construction work recommended
SUKKUR, Jun 23 (APP):District and Sessions Judge Sukkur Allah Bux Gabol has recommended that supervision of all construction and repair works of judicial buildings be handed over to the District Development Committee (DDC) to ensure transparency and quality.
In a letter to the Project Director on Tuesday, access to Justice Program, High Court of Sindh, the DJ noted that several development and maintenance projects of judicial infrastructure in Sukkur faced delays and quality issues due to administrative and technical problems.
Citing past experience, he said projects executed under DDC supervision in recent years were completed on time with better financial management and accountability. “The results of projects completed under DDC have been encouraging, while the experience with other executing agencies demands a more effective supervision system,” the letter stated.
Gabol urged that future construction of new judicial buildings, renovation works, and utilization of Maintenance & Repair (M&R) funds also be placed under DDC oversight to ensure judicious use of resources and better facilities for litigants.
He requested the High Court authorities to take administrative measures so that upcoming development and repair projects improve judicial infrastructure in the district
