DC Rawalpindi, accompanied by CPO, reviews security arrangements for 10th Muharram procession in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Jun 23 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (CPO) Hassan Waqar Cheema, along with City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, visited the route of the central 10th Muharram procession and Jamia Darul Uloom Taleem-ul-Quran to review security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. SP Rawal, DSP City, and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
CPO issued directions to officers regarding security measures for the main procession and emphasized the need for effective implementation of the security plan.
During a visit to Jamia Darul Uloom Taleem-ul-Quran, the CPO and Deputy Commissioner met with the institution’s administrator, Maulana Atta-ul-Haq, and Mufti Inamullah.
Security arrangements and measures to maintain peace during Muharram were discussed during the meeting.
The CPO appreciated the valuable role played by religious scholars and leaders from all schools of thought in promoting harmony and ensuring law and order during Muharram.
Speaking on the occasion, CPO Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani said foolproof security arrangements were being put in place for Muharram-ul-Haram and that Rawalpindi Police remained committed to ensuring peace and public safety through comprehensive security measures.
The delegation also offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of former administrator of the seminary, Maulana Ashraf Ali, and for the progress and prosperity of the country.
