Amir Muqam felicitates GB’s new leadership

ISLAMABAD, Jun 23 (APP):Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, on Tuesday congratulated the newly elected leadership of Gilgit-Baltistan, expressing hope that the government and opposition would work together to promote development, prosperity and public welfare across the region.
In a congratulatory message, the minister extended his heartfelt felicitations to newly elected Chief Minister Advocate Amjad Hussain on his success.
He also congratulated newly elected Leader of the Opposition Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman, as well as Speaker Imran Nadeem and Deputy Speaker Malik Kifayatur Rehman on their election to key constitutional offices in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly.
Amir Muqam said that the welfare and prosperity of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan required collective efforts and political harmony among all stakeholders.
He expressed confidence that the newly elected leadership would play an effective role in meeting the expectations of the people and addressing the region’s challenges.
The federal minister underscored that the sustainable development of Gilgit-Baltistan remained among the national priorities and stressed that cooperation between the government and opposition were essential for ensuring progress and stability in the region.
