RAWALPINDI, Jun 23 (APP):Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) (Headquarters) Abdul Rehman Khan visited Kallar Syedan to review security and administrative arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, said a press release.
He was accompanied by the Assistant Commissioner Kallar Syedan and officers of relevant departments during the visit.
The ADC inspected various imambargahs, majalis venues and procession routes, and reviewed security measures in detail, they said.
He also visited the control room established at the Municipal Committee, where CCTV monitoring systems were checked for functionality and accessibility. Panic buttons installed for emergency response were also inspected and tested.
Officials said he reviewed cleanliness, sanitation, street lighting and covering of manholes along procession routes, and directed departments to ensure all arrangements remain in place in line with Punjab government instructions.
He expressed satisfaction over preparedness of local administration and institutions, and issued directions for immediate resolution of minor issues identified during the visit to ensure uninterrupted public facilitation.
