KARACHI, Jun 23 (APP):The Chairman of the Social Media Protection and Regulatory Authority (SMPRA) Ayaz Shaukat called on the Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi at the Governor House on Tuesday.
A member of the authority Sohail Iqbal Soor and others were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, matters related to digital governance, responsible use of social media and public awareness were discussed.
They placed emphasis on the positive use of social media, promotion of the national narrative and effective regulatory measures.
The Governor of Sindh said that policy-making in line with modern requirements is an essential need of the time.
He said that the provision of a safe, positive and constructive digital environment for the youth is a shared responsibility.
Both sides agreed to continue mutual cooperation and future joint initiatives.
