Islamabad MoU between US, Iran; A base for permanent peace in region
QUETTA, Jun 22 (APP):Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir on Monday said that Pakistan was being continued to become a center of global diplomacy due to the success of the Iran-US negotiation process with the contributions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Talking to APP, he said the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the 14-point agreement between the US and Iran would form the basis of permanent peace in the region.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA, Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir said that at present, Pakistan has become an important player in global diplomacy all over the world, while India stood alone on the external front.
He said that Pakistan’s peace efforts have been appreciated not only by Muslim countries but also all over the world because the world’s economy could not afford a new war.
Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir said that the Islamabad MoU was the beginning of a new phase of peace and diplomacy in the region.
He said that in the 110-day war, Pakistan took Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and China into confidence and made a formal agreement between the United States and Iran, which has doubled the importance and usefulness of the beloved country at the global level.
