LARKANA, Jun 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Larkana, Tariq Manzoor Chandio informed that from the 1st to the 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram 1448, a total of 201 Majalis (religious gatherings) and 149 processions will be held. For Muharram-ul-Haram 1448, the district police will deploy 3,457 police personnel, 200 Rangers personnel, 270 additional auxiliary force as requested by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana, 110 doctors, 272 paramedical staff, 128 health camps/tents, 320 laborers with machinery from the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board Larkana, 20 municipal teams, and 500 scout members who will perform their duties at various locations.
He expressed these views with media persons in Larkano Press Club here on Monday and Congratulated newly elected body of Larkano Press Club office barriers President Abdul Qadir Jagerani Secretary General Tariq Mehmood Durani and others, presented them flowers bouquets among them.
He said additionally, 3 bomb disposal teams, 2 scanners installed by the Special Branch Larkana, and 75 CCTV cameras provided to Larkana police (with installation work ongoing) will also be utilized. Lights have been provided on the main routes leading to all Imambargahs and around the city.
The Deputy Commissioner Larkana said that Muharram is a very important event in the district, for which arrangements have been almost completed. All relevant departments have been instructed to ensure 100% of their input during Muharram-ul-Haram 1448 so that this important event is completed peacefully without any untoward incident or situation.
He said that 5 control rooms have been established for monitoring within the district, while more than 75 CCTV cameras have been installed. Over 40 ambulances from government and private trusts will be on standby. Furthermore, to serve the mourners, 110 doctors and 270 paramedical staff will be present to provide medical facilities.
He said that within district Larkana, the Municipal Corporation, Town Chairmen, and UC Chairmen have made excellent arrangements for cleanliness and sanitation on the occasion of Muharram, along with improved lighting arrangements. Teams have also been constituted in this regard to ensure that mourners do not face any inconvenience concerning cleanliness and lighting.
