RAWALPINDI, Jun 21 (APP):The industry exhibition which turned into a vibrant convergence of diplomacy, commerce and innovation at ‘RCCI MedHealth and Beauty Expo’, has positioned Pakistan’s healthcare sector on the global map.
The presence of high-level diplomats from Türkiye and Sri Lanka added a distinct international dimension to the event, transforming it from a routine trade expo into a platform of strategic engagement. Ambassador of Türkiye Irfan Neziroglu and Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner Rear Admiral Fred Seneviratne walked through various stalls, engaging with exhibitors and witnessing firsthand breadth of Pakistan’s growing healthcare industry.

From pharmaceutical solutions to wellness products and advanced medical technologies, the two day Expo floor reflected the medical sector striving for international relevance. Exhibitors showcased export-ready products and business delegates explored partnerships, giving the event a strong commercial pulse. Besides rop diplomatic officials, a number of officials from various embassies and international organisations also attended and praised the event.
RCCI President Usman Shaukat while interacting APP on Sunday described the Expo as “a results-driven initiative rather than a ceremonial gathering.” He said that the chamber has successfully generated business leads, export inquiries and early-stage agreements, particularly in pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
He informed that several foreign buyers and diplomatic missions expressed interest in facilitating market access for Pakistani products. “Follow-up meetings were already being scheduled to convert these interactions into formal trade partnerships”, he added.
The diplomatic engagement also carried symbolic weight. Ambassador Neziroglu termed the Expo a bridge for innovation and economic cooperation, linking longstanding political ties with practical business opportunities. Also, High Commissioner Seneviratne highlighted the importance of such platforms in encouraging knowledge exchange and fostering regional healthcare advancement.
Beyond immediate business gains, RCCI views the two day expo as part of a broader vision to reposition Pakistan as a regional hub for healthcare innovation and investment.
“The sustained engagement of this nature will strengthen economic diplomacy, allowing Pakistan to leverage its industrial potential through direct global connections”, Usman hoped while discussing the post expo way forward.
Not merely the annual expo for a particular sector, RCCI’s leadership is engaged to boost overall trade links at local and international levels.
“The existing RCCI’s bilateral and multilateral MoUs and engagements with diverse international partners have helped highlighting Pakistan’s trade opportunities”, Usman said.
The recent expo has furthered local tade confidence as well. A number of federal and provincial ministers, parliamentarians, traders and business community visited the event and lauded arrangements and exhibitors.
