PESHAWAR, Jun 21 (APP): A young man was killed following an altercation between two groups during a sports event at Munda Stadium in the jurisdiction of Munda Police Station, Lower Dir.

Police on Sunday informed that a minor dispute erupted during the match and quickly escalated into a deadly confrontation.

During the clash, a suspect identified as Iftikhar, resident of Mian Kalay, Munda, allegedly stabbed Wajid, son of Sher Afzal, causing critical injuries.

Wajid was immediately shifted to Munda Hospital for medical treatment. However, doctors pronounced him dead upon examination.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Efforts are underway to arrest the suspect, who remains at large.

The incident cast a shadow over the local community and raised concerns about violence during sporting events.
